Whether it’s an emergency or just for general safety and convenience, the Titan Water Valve Actuator offers an easy approach to smart home solutions. When connected to your Z-Wave hub, you can wirelessly and manually control your water valve from any mobile device.
There’s even potential for advanced home automation, which means more protection. Link up this valve actuator with other Z-Wave devices, like a flood sensor, and the valve will automatically close when water is detected. Or simply attach the included wired offline detection probe for local monitoring even when the hub isn't available.
The built-in Z-Wave signal repeater extends and strengthens the range of your Z-Wave network, ensuring fast and reliable connections thank to its 700 series chip technology.

If installing the Titan actuator outdoors, please lock the Z-Wave button to prevent water damage to the device. Hold the Z-Wave button until 3 beeps sound, the tap the Z-Wave button 3 times. You can unlock the Z-Wave button by performing the same steps if you need to use it for programming purposes in the future.
This is probably the most practical piece of smart home gear I've bought. Very simple to install, battery backup is also a good add on. It is my only z-wave piece of tech so I did have to get the HA z-wave antenna, but I think that's fine.
It was a little difficult to get clamped down on my larger pipes. I had to extend the clamps the entire way and then force it over the pipes on both side. Once I finally got it on and tightened up, it calibrated, and integrated very well with my home assistant software. I now turn off the water when I'm not home and turn it back on when I arrive home.
Valve works great but had trouble getting it to operate correctly on Smartthings. I found the fix after much effort searching the internet.
This has helped automate leak prevention when coupled with a Flume water monitor within my Home assistant network. Works great to turn off water based on flow or leak sensor detections.
In the distant past I had a major flood in my house when a water line to the water heater burst resulting in Lake Kineret in my garage. At that time I decided to place a number of Z-wave water/flood sensors out in strategic places around the house. A few old ones (Fortrezz WWA-02AA) and great new ones (Zooz ZSE42 and ZSE30). I had an old Z-wave Water valve actuator (Dome) which broke quickly since it is installed at my water main outside. I am now using the Zooz Water Valve Actuator which works incredibly well with simple ball valves. It is very reliable. It easily enrolled in my old Vera Plus Z-wave controller. I am currently switching to a new Hubitat C8 Pro. I am having difficulties enrolling the water valve actuator into the Hubitat network, but this is most likely because I am on the ascent of the Hubitat learning curve. There is no competition for this Water Valve actuator. It also very affordable compared to any other Z-wave valves on the market. One additional compliment to the The Smartest House people: They have excellent customer service and support. Will buy there more devices in the future. Overall, the Water Valve Actuator and the seller are highly recommentable.
