We have some big news to share!
Zooz and The Smartest House are beginning an exciting new chapter as part of Jasco, a longtime leader in connected home products, consumer electronics, lighting, and home technology.
For our customers, the most important thing to know is simple: Nothing is changing right now in the way you shop with us, get support, or use your account.
You will still be able to shop for Zooz products through The Smartest House, access your existing customer account and order history, and reach out to the same support team you know and trust.
The Zooz brand is staying in place, and this next chapter gives us access to more resources for product development, operations, distribution, and future growth while preserving the customer experience and product focus that got us here.
A lot!
Behind the scenes, we now have more room to grow!
Jasco brings additional resources in product development, operations, distribution, marketing, and logistics. That gives Zooz and The Smartest House more support to keep improving what we already do well and to build on it in the future.
For some customers, particularly on the West Coast, the expanded fulfillment network may even mean faster delivery.
And there is another part of this new chapter that we are especially happy to share: 50% of Jasco’s net profits from the Zooz brand will be contributed to charitable causes, just as Jasco does with its other brands.
Do I need to create a new account?
No! Your existing Smartest House account and order history remain as they are.
Will The Smartest House still carry Zooz?
Absolutely. The Smartest House will continue to be a home for Zooz products.
Is Zooz changing names or going away?
No. Zooz will continue as its own brand, with added resources for future growth and product development.
Is customer support changing?
You can continue reaching out to the same knowledgeable support team, just as you do today.
Will prices change?
Our commitment to competitive pricing remains the same.
What about shipping?
Fast fulfillment remains a priority. With expanded distribution resources, some customers may even see faster delivery.
We keep doing what we do best!
We keep building great smart home products. We keep helping you choose the right device for your project. We keep answering the weird wiring questions, listening to your product ideas, and making improvements based on what you tell us.
And now, we get to do all of that with more resources behind us!
Most importantly, thank you.
The Smartest House and Zooz were built around our customers. Your feedback shaped products. Your questions helped us build better documentation. Your ideas turned into features. Your reviews, recommendations, forum posts, support conversations, and repeat orders helped grow this business into what it is today.
You trusted us with your homes, your projects, and sometimes some very creative automation ideas, and that trust has always mattered to us.
We are incredibly grateful that you have been part of this journey, and we hope you’ll come along for what comes next!
As always, if you have questions, concerns, feedback, or ideas, please reach out. We want to hear from you.
Here’s to the next chapter!

This is horrible news. Jasco smart switches are NOTORIOUS for bricking themselves after power outages. Does this mean that future Zooz smart switches will start demonstrating the same? Please keep Jasco far away from your R&D which has always been top notch!

Congrats to the founders and team that started this company. Please do your best to keep the Zooz brand as special as it has been.

All I do is replace failed Jasco products with Zooz. This is extremely disappointing. Guess it’s a good time to switch to Matter.

I’m a fan of zooz products and I just redid my whole house with them while doing a reno, and its been as solid as the few premium inovelli zwave devices I have. I also have few other devices and among the worst is a singular enbrighten (JASCO brand) device that drove me to find better solutions. So here is hoping zooz keeps up the excellent work supporting DIY smart home users and be a positive influence on JASCO

Oh no!!! I moved away from Jasco after having to replace my GE/Jasco light switches twice because of constant failures. Zooz has been rock solid. I do not view this as a positive development in any way. I’m glad I am just completing our full house remodel and have all new Zooz switches and dimmers.

I’m also saddened by this news. I think Zooz did a tremendous job innovating and providing support that I’m not confident will improve with Jasco at the top.

That’s great news. Love when a trusted brand (Zooz) gets added visibility and financial stability by joining forces such as this. My 120-device smart home is 1/3 Zooz devices (and growing) and has two older Jasco products (smart plug-in dimmers). All working flawlessly for years. Congratulations.

I second Christians comment. On its face this does not look like a good move despite the positive spin. Larger does not usually mean better and Jascos own failures in the space don’t give me strong hope but I’ll refrain from long term judgement and see how it goes.

Please, please, please, please, please don’t turn into the absolute awful support and hardware quality that Jasco provides. I am so saddened by this news after having both Jasco and Zooz devices and am hoping that zooz truly does stay separate so that I can continue to trust and recommend them as a company to people looking for reliable and affordable hardware.

You've probably heard the term Z-Wave thrown around if you've been shopping for smart home devices, especially anything related to security systems, door locks, or home automation hubs. But what actually is Z-Wave, and why do so many serious smart home setups rely on it? Here's everything you need to know to get started!
The most important thing to understand about Z-Wave is that it's completely separate from your home's Wi-Fi. Z-Wave devices communicate on their own low-power radio frequency, which means your smart home traffic isn't competing with your streaming, video calls, or anything else on your internet network.

If you’ve ever tried shopping for smart switches, you already know how quickly things can spiral. What starts as “I just want a smart dimmer for my kitchen” somehow turns into reading about 3-way wiring, traveler wires, load ratings, relay switches, neutral wires, smart bulb mode, and whether your exhaust fan will explode if you accidentally install the wrong dimmer.
And honestly, we get it. Once you open up a switch box and start Googling terms like “single pole vs multi-way” or “line and load,” things can feel overwhelming fast. Instead of forcing you to compare every switch model and decipher electrical terminology on your own, our new guide walks you through the decision process step by step so you can narrow down the right switch for your setup without second guessing yourself.

If you love a good DIY project and a touch of smart home magic, you’ll be blown away by what YouTuber DIY With Vinny pulled off. His YouTube tutorial transforms a simple closet into a fully automated, jaw-droppingly smart space, from leak detection to mood lighting and robot-friendly automation.
The best part? It’s powered by some seriously smart Zooz Z-Wave gear that makes everything run seamlessly behind the scenes. All of the Zooz devices featured here support the new Z-Wave Long Range protocol, so your smart home stays connected and responsive, even across floors, garages, or detached spaces.
Let’s take a tour of this build and peek at how you can recreate it in your own home.

Hoping that quality of Jasco gets pulled up to the Zooz level rather than averaging down.
That said, not 100% pleased with Zooz since I’ve had a few switches die on me and some buttons stick on my bedroom dimmers.
