    Piece of mind from a distance

    I bought three of these leak detectors to place in critical spots at a house that is not close by. I ran a test myself with a small amount of water under a sink to see how it would go and worked great. You need to set up your own level of notification in the Z-wave Hub you are using but mine works great with the Z-Box from Zooz. Could to know I would be alerted before any major damage could occur.
    These things are very compact and I used a small piece of museum wax on the bottom to prevent them from being shifted around under the sinks.

    Tiny and Responsive

    Being so tiny, the Zooz 800 Series Z-Wave Long Range XS Water Leak Sensor ZSE42 800LR is discreet and unobtrusive. In testing, it responds instantly to the presence of the least bit of water making contact with a pair of sensor pins. An unexpected bonus that I discovered is that it immediately generates a notification from SmartThings if the sensor loses contact with the hub, and likewise when communication is restored. Nice!
