SmartStart Inclusion:
Open your hub's app and initiate pairing as usual. Scan the SmartStart QR code on the ZEN78 relay and power it up - it will include automatically. You don't need to click the Z-Wave button unless you're using SmartThings in which case, you may need to activate the relay by tapping the Z-Wave button 3 times quickly.
Manual Inclusion:
Installing 12 of these units to manage a heavy load of heaters and lights at a sporting facility while simultaneously providing on/off switching courtside through momentary switches. Product has performed well in all aspects. Allowed us to retrofit an installation that had no courtside controls inexpensively compared to running a 120v line out to the courts
Works perfectly to control a 120VAC 1200 watt 240 ft roof deicing heat cable via zwave. I really like the local control wall switch feature also. Very happy
I was a bit sceptical about this, but I needed an industrial grade relay to manage when a 1.5HP 20A 240V air compressor would be powered off. This relay does an outstanding job managing the power through to the compressor, and through the automations on Home Assistant, it allows the automated schedule to run and cut the power off, while still letting us manually turn it back on manually in cases someone wants compressed air outside the schedule by pushing the little button on the cover.
Been looking around for a while for an all-in-one solution to make my electric water heaters smart. This is the perfect solution. Will work with any moderately high current application. 120 volt or 240. In the past I’ve had to use low current relays to operate high current relays. This is a much better solution and even a little cheaper.
I have a 60 Gallon air compressor in my garage that I don't want powered 24/7 because it isn't used daily and was controlled by turning the breaker on and off.
I did have a TUYA breaker setup on it that fit my needs but super easy to setup, is not local and could lose support as many devices do.
There are some others that just do not seem as robust as this and as soon as I saw ZOOZ released this guy I purchased it.
Works well as expected but my signal is a little weak from the coordinator. Not the relays fault and I will move things around to get the network better.
Z-Wave JS isn't quite there yet with the product number and product ID but I'm sure that will come shortly. (It does add it and control though)
Giving 5 stars at this point and hopeful that it will continue to work as it should!
