Just get one...

After having a braided, stainless-steel hose blow in the middle of the night and within minutes flood the bathroom and dining room below, I had to do something. I found this kit. I had previously installed/used one at our old house and is one of the first purchases for the new house. They're easy to install once you realize the turning knob is spring loaded. ;-) and work well with the other Z-Wave water sensors.

Peace of mind

It was so easy to set up and I love knowing that my water will turn off automatically when any of my leak sensors detects leak. It gives me a lot of peace of mind.

The ZAC36 water valve controller installed & calibrated easily and perfectly!

I was able to integrate it with my Home Assistant and add 4 water leak sensors to an automation. My water leak sensors include under kitchen sink, utility room floor for clothes washer, garage floor near water softener, and my hot water heater.

Simple testing at each water leak sensor proved that the ZAC36 valve shut off the water quickly and in the future should save my home from an expensive flooding disaster!

My automation includes activating a zwave siren with different tones depending on where the leak is.
