Check for neutral connections BEFORE you buy. A white wire from a 14-3 romex is usually NOT a neutral. Ask us if you're not sure what to look for, we'll be happy to help!
How to include the 800 Series S2 Dimmer to your smart home hub?
1. Make sure the dimmer is located within range of your Z-Wave network
2. Put your Z-Wave controller in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Tap the upper paddle of the dimmer 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process
4. A new dimmer switch will appear on your controller's device list
NOTE: Follow an appropriate diagram from the manual to wire the dimmer in a 3-way or 4-way setting with a regular on/off electrical switch if you are looking to control one light with 2 or 3 switches. If you can't match your wiring with any of the diagrams, let us know and we'll walk you through the wiring process.
Had a dud that needed to be factory reset but everything else works flawlessly.
Latency from turning is nearly instant, beating out Tapo dimmers which had a noticeable delay. The ZEN77 has built in 4+ way support and you only need to change one switch which makes it very easy to make N way lights support motion sensors. Tapo has 3 way kits but installing them in a 4 way makes one of the switches useless. Also way more customizable.
My last house came with a Smart door lock and that opened my eyes to the world of smart homes. As I started changing out light switches, I started with GE switches and then found Zooz. The GE switches would buzz, which is why I wanted to try a different brand. I loved the Zooz switches I installed. Years later, I’m now building a new custom home and had planned to go Smart where ever I could. After planning all the switches with my electrician, I figured out which ones I wanted to have zwave ability, which would be dimmers and which would be on/off. I then started looking for Zooz switches as I loved them in my last house. I ordered 7 ZEN76 on/off switches and 11 ZEN77 dimmers switches. To my amazement, I got the notice they were shipped the next day and I had them only a couple days after that. I was shocked how quickly I received them. Can I add that buying them from The Smartest House was even cheaper than Amazon? They showed up well packaged and I look forward to my electrician installing them soon. This was definitely the quickest way to start on a smart home for my new construction. I plan on buying a few ZEN30 next so I can use it for my fan/light combos in a few rooms. Down the road, I’ll change out 16 other switches I’m currently leaving as standard switches and they will definitely be Zooz switches as well. I love Zooz! Works great with Home Assistant.
So far they are great. One didn't work correctly and is being replaced after troubleshooting. Will be buying more.
I was excited to try Z-Wave switches for my house as an alternative to using wifi. It has been working great. The range has not been a problem and response times are very quick. The Zooz switches are well designed and packaged and recommend them. Very thoughtful instructions and labels to help with the install. Planning to order more Zooz switches to more locations around the house.
They work perfectly fine and are 800LR. The price is also very reasonable. Definitely recommend.
