How to include the Zooz Heavy Duty switch to your smart home network?
1. Bring your Z-Wave gateway hub or controller as close to the switch as possible
2. Put your Z-Wave controller in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Scan the SmartStart QR code on the front metal plate of the switch or tap the upper paddle of the switch 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process manually
4. A new on/off switch should appear on your controller's device list
NOTE: Use a dedicated diagram from the manual to wire the switch in a 3-way setting with a regular electrical switch if you are looking to control one light with 2 or 3 switches.
Slowly replacing all of my wifi switches with Zooz Zwave switches. Rock solid design and they pair with my Home Assistant zwa-2 with ease. Great value for the money!
Amazing to work with. Had some trouble with inclusion, did the factory reset multiple times on some switches, while some did the inclusion on first try. All completed now.
There is no rocker on the switch but you need to press the top or bottom depending on if you want it on or off
After some research, decided to switch to Z-wave and Zooz after yet another of my Tuyu switches failed. Easy to set up, well-made, and works perfectly with my HA based smart home.
I wish I had heard of Zooz before I populated my house with useless so called smart switches. The Zooz were very easy to adopt and install.
