Here are some helpful installation tips:
How to include the 800 Series Dimmer switch to your smart home network?
1. Bring your Z-Wave gateway hub or controller as close to the switch as possible
2. Put your Z-Wave controller in inclusion mode
3. Tap the UPPER paddle of the switch 3 times very quickly to finalize the inclusion process
4. A new dimmer (or multilevel switch) device will appear on your controller's device list
NOTE: Use a dedicated diagram from the manual to wire the switch in a 3-way setting with a regular electrical switch if you are looking to control one light with 2 switches. This switch may wire differently in 3-way or 4-way installation than your other Zooz switch.
The Zooz dimmer has been great, I have 2, have had no problems with dimmable LEDs, including some recessed LED can replacements that I was not confident were going to work in place. Be aware if you have a lot of excess wire in the box, range on these things suffers -- but that's how RF works and it's not the switch's fault
There are four reasons why I like the Zen72 dimmer:
1) I had a dimmer about 30 yrs ago that operate very much like the Zen72 and I liked it very much, even though it isn't typical way to operate a dimmer. Specifically, double tap top of paddle-all the way on; single tap top of paddle- on to last setting; hold top of paddle-dimmer up; similar operations for bottom of paddle to shut off or dim lights.
2) You get good technical support both on-line and in their support documentation.
3) The dimmer's package includes cable labels to attach to hot/neutral/traveler/ground lines, and terminal tabs to attach to the connections to make sure bare items don't touch. I've never seen this before.
4) The dimmer seems to be well built.
Easy to install with included instructions. I cannot say enough nice things about these switches. I've bought about 10x of various 800 series switches. The dimmer one works great though. I've placed them mostly on overhead LED's in my house to control brightness, and I've been happy with them.
Easy to install and connect to home assistant. Let me setup an automatic night light mode with the dimmer.
Coming from the Insteon world, I was super impressed how much easier these were to install due to their size.
