This product is available in different Z-Wave frequencies so please make sure you choose the correct region before checking out. You need to select the same frequency / region as your hub when buying Z-Wave devices for them to include to your system. If you're not sure which frequency your hub operates on, please contact your solution provider first. Here is what each option stands for:

    • US/CA/MX: 908.42 MHz (used primarily in US, Canada, and Mexico, the default option for all products)
    • EU/UK: 868.42 MHz (used primarily in Europe)
    • AU/NZ: 921.4 MHz (used primarily in Australia and New Zealand)

    How It Works

Spend on prevention, save when disaster strikes. The Zooz Water Leak Sensor reliably detects water presence so that you can respond better and faster to leaky pipes and a boiler room immersed in water.

When paired with your Z-Wave hub, it will send instant notifications and alerts to your smart phone or computer, whether it’s a flood emergency or a low-battery alert. Connect the Water Leak Sensor to other Z-Wave devices for advanced automation scenarios: trigger your smart water valve actuator to immediately shut off flow. Pair it with an alarm siren located on the main floor to ensure a fast response.

Just place it on any flat surface you'd like to monitor for the most hassle-free installation possible.

Best water leak sensor I've used so far

The ZSE42 sensors I purchased paired super-easily with my Hubitat C-8 and have performed flawlessly for the ~3 months I've had them, reporting events and status to the hub. Really like the form-factor, and the large lithium battery will hopefully deliver very long battery life. I like them so much that I replaced my older, bulky, zigbee devices that sometimes struggled to report accurate battery status.

    Simple effective

Having used a competitor's water Leak sensor, I can say this one is better all around. By sitting on the metal stubs, the device will alert you on less water than the other one that has recessed metal contacts. The larger battery will last much longer and I just by a bunch around Black Friday to replace throughout the year.

    They work great

    They work great

    My first 800LR Devices

I have installed 4 ZooZ ZSE42 800LR water leak detectors. All devices joined the Z-Wave network (LR) with no issues. The latest design is improved and is more water resistant than the previous model. HomeSeer 4 with Z-Wave Plus plugin.

    A worthy upgrade!

I have the original series 700 water leak sensor and while I previously had some challenges getting it to pair, this thing connected right away. The quality of construction has really increased as well and is now fully waterproof. Definitely worth a look, even if you're still using a 700 series zwave controller like myself.
