    Z-WAVE FREQUENCY

This product is available in different Z-Wave frequencies so please make sure you choose the correct region before checking out. You need to select the same frequency / region as your hub when buying Z-Wave devices for them to include to your system. If you're not sure which frequency your hub operates on, please contact your solution provider first. Here is what each option stands for:

    • US/CA/MX: 908.42 MHz (used primarily in US, Canada, and Mexico, the default option for all products)
    • EU/UK: 868.42 MHz (used primarily in Europe) - no Z-Wave Long Range

    INSTALLATION

Before wiring the Double Relay in, check that the load does not exceed 500W for incandescent lights, 150W for LED's, 1/4 hp for fans and motors, or 5A for resistive load per relay. Examine all connections to verify that you have all the necessary wires available in the switch box: load (most often black), line (most often black), neutral (most often white), and ground (most often green).

If you are not comfortable identifying the wiring and following the instructions, please hire a licensed electrician.

Zooz ZEN52 Double Relay Single Pole Wiring Diagram

Here are some helpful wiring tips:

      • Make sure the gang box you are about to install the switch has a neutral wire available - you will not be able to get the ZEN52 double relay to work without a neutral wire. If neutral is not available, you'll need to install the ZEN52 at the light fixture / in the fan canopy.
      • Unlike regular mechanical switches, Z-Wave switches require all of the wires to be connected exactly as indicated - line and load wires can never be swapped as it sometimes happens to the most experienced electricians.

How to include the Double Relay to your smart home network?
    1. Put your Z-Wave controller in inclusion/pairing mode
    2. Click the Z-Wave button on the relay 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process (and scan the SmartStart security QR code or enter PIN if prompted)
    3. Two new on/off switches and a master device should appear on your controller's device list

Update Firmware to v1.70 for the Best Experience

I've owned my Zen52 for 15 months and the only thing I didn't like about the device was how slow it was to turn on from the light switch. I use toggle style switches and when I would flip the switch and it would turn on a second later. This was extremely noticeable considering I had used shelly relays and ZigBee relays which would turn on instantly using the same switches. It was also extremely annoying considering this was the only switch in my house that I physically interact with. After upgrading the firmware to v1.70 and setting parameter 12 to 0 I am happy to report my Zen52 now turns on and off instantly as expected. I also feel good knowing that if I change switch types I can change the settings later. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

      Great relay for fans!

Using to make my "dumb" ceiling fan and light smart - works great and hides in the fan enclosure!

      Perfect!

The Relay is the smallest one I ever seen. While it's so powerful, stable and easy installed. I highly recommend it.
