Here are some helpful wiring tips:
How to include the Zooz On / Off switch to your smart home network?
1. Bring your Z-Wave gateway hub or controller as close to the switch as possible
2. Put your Z-Wave controller in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Tap the upper paddle of the switch 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process
4. A new on/off switch should appear on your controller's device list
NOTE: Use a dedicated diagram from the manual to wire the switch in a 3-way setting with a regular electrical switch if you are looking to control one light with 2 or 3 switches.
I have swapped most of my switches to these smart switches and it has been easy to do. I had a weird three-way switch setup and support was able to quickly help me with a custom wiring diagram that worked the first time I tried it. Don't worry about them taking a while to get back to you, they responded within a few hours and stayed just as responsive after too!
While I haven't installed this yet, I'm going to use this to replace my final X10 3-way switch.
Very easy setup, works great
I've been using Leviton Z-Wave switches for the past 5 years or so. They periodically need to be power cycling and have very few configurable parameters. These are much more reliable and configurable.
I got some of the zen71 switches for my new z-wave network and they’re working great as wireless 3-way switches via direct association groups! There was definitely a learning curve to get them set up via Home Assistant, but in the end they’re awesome!
