Spend on prevention, save when disaster strikes. The Zooz Water Leak Sensor reliably detects water presence so that you can respond better and faster to leaky pipes and a boiler room immersed in water.
When paired with your Z-Wave hub, it will send instant notifications and alerts to your smart phone or computer, whether it’s a flood emergency or a low-battery alert. Connect the Water Leak Sensor to other Z-Wave devices for advanced automation scenarios: trigger your smart water valve actuator to immediately shut off flow. Pair it with an alarm siren located on the main floor to ensure a fast response.
Just place it on any flat surface you'd like to monitor for the most hassle-free installation possible.

I bought nine of the ZSE42 leak sensors and have been very pleased with them. They were very easy to connect to my Zooz Z-Wave coordinator and Home Assistant using the SmartStart method. I had a question about one of them that the support team promptly answered and helped me quickly resolve. I haven't had a leak yet, but all of the devices have tested perfectly. I will be buying more Zooz devices.
Good battery life so long as it's dry. Once wet and remaining wet, battery life decreases rapidly, like within a day. If you don't expect it to remain in a wet condition for long, then the product is fine, otherwise maybe look for something with larger battery capacity.
I’ve placed 8 of these around the house, coupled with an Atlas valve actuator and they’ve worked perfectly on the few occasions where they were called on to do so.
Put the water leak sensor under my hot water heater and set up a routine in SmartThings to send me a text if a leak is detected.

Just upgraded my older Zwave coordinator to the new HA ZWA-2, and wanted to replace some of my older Zigbee water sensors to the Zooz Zwave 800 series long range water sensors.
I was amazed how easy they were to connect, and how rock solid they are staying connected.
I have a very strong Wi-Fi network but I also use Zigbee, Bluetooth, and Matter so the 2.4 frequencies oversaturated for me, causing my Zigbee network to be unstable.
That's why I'm now focusing more on Z-Wave, and I couldn't be more happier with the Zooz long-range Z-Wave devices.
