This sensor is perfect for spot monitoring in spaces where your smart thermostat doesn't reach. Install the device in your bedroom to prepare just the right temperature for the night. Mount it in the basement or on your sun porch to trigger climate control device and keep the air constant where humidity and temperature is most likely to change quickly.
Just stick it to the flat surface of your choice with the supplied adhesive tape for 1-minute installation. Keep in mind the sensor should be installed indoors within the specified temperature and humidity rating.
As expected from Zooz, another great product. Works great.
It works great
I've got two thermostats that track the temperature and humidity in my house. But they miss the basement. What to do? Well, if you're like me, you get a Zooz ZSE44 and you stick it in the basement, and then you connect it to your HASS server. Then, a week later, you tell anyone who doesn't run away fast enough how the temperature in the basement is consistent and comfortable and look how it tracks the rest of the house but muted, and all kinds of other details that only matters to the sort of person who buys a temperature and humidity sensor.
Hookup to a ZWA-2 antenna and Home Automation was easy with the SmartStart and zwave Long Range. Haven't owned it long enough to tell how the battery life is, since it ought to last years. What else is there to say?
So easy to setup and use. Z-wave setup easy and stable. Just works perfectly.
I have one in my fridge and one in the freezer. Support says it's not rated for the environment, and they're right, HOWEVER it's a VERY VERY small priced to pay to know that food is at safe temperature (or NOT) through a power outage. My Smarthome controller is on battery backup so that actually works! Also your smarthome could be programmed to alert you if you're out of tolerance (door was left open etc). Why the heck doesn't someone make a version of this device with external temperature probes so the battery and device can sit OUTSIDE the fridge/freeze while the sensor is inside. It's really a no-brainer, especially with ZWave LR that has the range.
