This sensor is perfect for spot monitoring in spaces where your smart thermostat doesn't reach. Install the device in your bedroom to prepare just the right temperature for the night. Mount it in the basement or on your sun porch to trigger climate control device and keep the air constant where humidity and temperature is most likely to change quickly.
Just stick it to the flat surface of your choice with the supplied adhesive tape for 1-minute installation. We recommend using the dedicated mounting bracket if you'd like to install the sensor outdoors. Always keep the device out of direct sunlight and rain or snow.
Works great as expected.
Used for a few months and seems to perform as it is described. Like being able to monitor my shop.
Just getting my house setup with Home Assistant. The smartest house makes it easy with very detailed documentation. The temperature sensor is insanely easy to setup & implement into HA.
NIcely packaged with good instructions; easy to set up and use. Gave four start for now; raise or lower depending on battery life.
I now have 3 of these sensors and while I don't really care about the humidity I've found that the temperature reporting is spot on accurate and measures the same values as two other temperature monitors sitting next to it. If you do need to adjust the reading, there are parameters for that.
You can configure the sensor to report on temperature or humidity changes of 1 degree/1 % or more and/or set it up for regular time based reporting.
It's small and now comes with the mounting bracket that used to be an extra.
If you use it outside it does collect "stuff" on the case which can be difficult to clean off, but that doesn't affect its performance. Included easily on my HomeSeer system.
