If you are not comfortable identifying the wiring and following the instructions, please hire a licensed electrician.
Here are some helpful wiring tips:
How to include the Zooz Heavy Duty switch to your smart home network?
1. Bring your Z-Wave gateway hub or controller as close to the switch as possible
2. Put your Z-Wave controller in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Scan the SmartStart QR code on the front metal plate of the switch or tap the upper paddle of the switch 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process manually
4. A new on/off switch should appear on your controller's device list
NOTE: Use a dedicated diagram from the manual to wire the switch in a 3-way setting with a regular electrical switch if you are looking to control one light with 2 or 3 switches.
We have a relay in the garage that is a on/off relay, wanted to control it via zwave and the Zen75 did the trick. This was our first purchase of Zooz zwave switches and we plan to purchase more. Thank You!
I installed this to power my whole house fan and it working exactly as expected! No other Z-Wave switch I could find was rated to do it directly due to the large motor load. This was so much easier than triggering a remote relay with a wall switch.
Another excellent Z-Wave device from Zooz. This is a quality switch with high power handing capability for large lighting arrays, fans, and other high-current applications. I’ve needed this for the 550W LED array in my shop! Also has scene control, auto off and on, and lots of programmability. Works with 3-way setups using standard switches as the remote. I was alittle dissapointed to see it has pigtails rather then screw terminals as that takes up some extra room on the box, but I managed to get it to fit with a little shoving and wiggling. The Long Range works well, though I had a bit of trouble provisioning it with Home Assistant. I finally got it working after a few tries, and it has given me no issues since.
All in all, a great switch. Zooz has become my go-to supplier for Z-Wave devices, and I highly recommend them!
I needed a switch that could drive a larger load than a ZEN71; this did the job and is the same footprint as other Zooz switches. It must not be in my Z-Wave directory yet as it was given a generic node name, so a challenge to locate, but works flawlessly.
Controls a 700W Runtal towel rack. No issues connecting to a mini USB stick several walls & rooms away.
