NOTE: This is NOT a Z-Wave device. You need a compatible Z-Wave dimmer module for wireless control.
This Zooz Momentary Switch is the perfect addition to your Z-Wave dimmer module. Its operation is simple but its potential is great: tap it to turn your Z-Wave dimmer on, press and hold it to adjust brightness, tap it again to turn it off. It is not a Z-Wave device by itself, and should be used with a behind-the-switch Z-Wave module for wireless functionality.
Use it to complete a 4-way or other complex multi-point control set-ups with the Fibaro Dimmer to add Z-Wave to circuits with no neutral. Its slim and compact form factor leaves extra space in your switch box making installation worry-free. The simple decora style will complement most interiors.
Before proceeding with the installation, turn off the power in the switch box. Make sure you have either 12 or 14 AWG copper wire, since this is the only type of wiring that’s approved for this installation. If needed, strip the wiring of its insulation (exposing 0.75” will be enough). Connect all wires to all screw terminals, including the ground wire. Tighten all the screws, and secure your Z-Wave module and the momentary switch in the box using the mounting screws. Be sure to handle the wires carefully. Install the wall plate, and turn the power back on to test the device.

I picked this up to extend a multi-way setup with my Zooz ZEN smart switches. Visually, it is a perfect match. The white color and form factor blend seamlessly with the rest of the Zooz lineup.
However, the tactile experience is disappointing. Unlike the main smart switches, the ZAC99 is effectively a single-button device (press up only) with no "down" travel. This creates a confusing user experience where you can't physically press the bottom of the paddle. I would much prefer a double-throw rocker design. even if both Up and Down simply sent a toggle command, just to maintain consistency for users.
Additionally, the switch mechanism is significantly "clickier" and louder than the ZEN series, which makes the upgrade feel a bit inconsistent side-by-side. It gets the job done electrically, but I hope a future version matches the premium feel and rocker mechanics of the actual smart switches.
I installed this momentary switch for use in a 3-way configuration with a ZEN72 dimmer. It was a quick job to wire it up, and there was one configuration parameter to set on the dimmer. From then on the integration was seamless, easily controlling all the dimmer functions from a remote location at a fraction of the cost of installing a second smart switch.
Great switch for my garbage disposal
Dont think i have used this kind of switch in my life and wish there was more info about it on products that its compatible with but it works well.
Great switch for smart home!
