This sensor is perfect for spot monitoring in spaces where your smart thermostat doesn't reach. Install the device in your bedroom to prepare just the right temperature for the night. Mount it in the basement or on your sun porch to trigger climate control device and keep the air constant where humidity and temperature is most likely to change quickly.
Just stick it to the flat surface of your choice with the supplied adhesive tape for 1-minute installation. Keep in mind the sensor should be installed indoors within the specified temperature and humidity rating.
This sensor is small and comes with adhesive tape and a mounting bracket. It connected to my Hubitat hub in seconds despite being far from the hub. Reports temperature, humidity and battery level. Highly recommended.
I placed one of these in the grill of my bathroom exhaust fan, which is controlled by a Zooz ZEN71 smart switch, so I'm able to tailor the humidity range for when the fan turns on and off. It is barely noticeable inside the white fan grill. I've had it installed for about 8 months, and it's reporting 93% battery.
These pair well with Hubitat and are a good addition to my whole house temperature/humidity monitoring. They seem to be fairly accurate on temperature, but I have no way to judge absolute humidity accuracy. At least I can spot a trend on relative terms. The temperature on all three I've bought seems to jump back and forth between two temperatures with a gap of 1.1 to 1.5 degrees F. Seems consistent in that regard for all three.
I like to made sure my guitar is kept at a decent temperature and humidity. I just stick one of these in the case and can stop worrying.
Easy setup and very dependable. Working as needed.
