This sensor is perfect for spot monitoring in spaces where your smart thermostat doesn't reach. Install the device in your bedroom to prepare just the right temperature for the night. Mount it in the basement or on your sun porch to trigger climate control device and keep the air constant where humidity and temperature is most likely to change quickly.
Just stick it to the flat surface of your choice with the supplied adhesive tape for 1-minute installation. We recommend using the dedicated mounting bracket if you'd like to install the sensor outdoors. Always keep the device out of direct sunlight and rain or snow.
I bought 2 of the temp/humidity sensors. I love the sensors. The are very small, and don't need a lot of room. I have one in my well house to monitor the outside temperature, and a smartthings routines to turn on my heat lamps if it gets too cold. While they do update periodically, they don't update at the configured interval. One of them only checks in every 4 to 5 hours. That would be bad if temperatures got below freezing. Maybe I'm missing a setting, I'm still messing around with it. All and all, it's a decent sensor, and keeps accurate temperatures when it reports
Installed this about 150ft from the hub and no repeaters between. Solid connection and data continously. Installed in a greenhouse and so far so good.
Easy to setup and works as advertised, sleek and small. Adopts easy in zwavejs ui & HA
Works perfectly on SmartThings to turn on/off auto de-humidifier in work building ! A+++
Good product
