Simply use the provided triangle tool to open the Wall Remote, take out the pull-tabs from the battery slots to activate the device. Follow the instructions to integrate the device with your hub and install the base in a standard switch box or on any flat surface using the provided screw or adhesive tape. Finish the installation by attaching the wall plate to the magnetic base of the Wall Remote.
How to add the Wall Remote to your Z-Wave home hub?
1. Make sure the device is within range of your Z-Wave network
2. Put your Z-Wave hub in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Tap the top button of the Remote Switch 6 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process (or scan the QR code / enter the 4-digit DSK number printed on the back of the remote if using the new SmartStart method)
4. A new remote control / button controller device will appear on your hub's device list
This wall remote is battery powered, making it super easy to place anywhere, especially with the included mounting hardware and good directions.
I now have four of these remotes deployed around the house. Just love what they can do
I love the easy, quality, and functionality of all Zooz products. But I liked how this one particularly was re-charable via USB, had 4 buttons, and was easy to use.
I own a dozen of other Zooz products and they have always worked well but the ZEN37 is a different story. The buttons are very low quality. The top button is "sticky" and makes two clicking noises every time to press it. The other buttons are better but still not great. I also was unable to get the remote added to my Home Assistant. Other Z-Wave products would add right away with the QR code but this one does nothing. I contacted support they seem to be aware of the button pressing issue and offered me a refund, or to wait for the next hardware revision. I decided to wait for the new version. I need several of these remotes and I'm glad I only bought one to test first. I will wait for the revised version and if they correct the issues then I will update my review and purchase more of them.
