This sensor is perfect for spot monitoring in spaces where your smart thermostat doesn't reach. Install the device in your bedroom to prepare just the right temperature for the night. Mount it in the basement or on your sun porch to trigger climate control device and keep the air constant where humidity and temperature is most likely to change quickly.
Just stick it to the flat surface of your choice with the supplied adhesive tape for 1-minute installation. We recommend using the dedicated mounting bracket if you'd like to install the sensor outdoors. Always keep the device out of direct sunlight and rain or snow.
Works great! just as advertised and easy to setup with HA too.
This device adds itself to Smartthings with every type of sensor - open/closed, motion, smoke, water, tamper, air preasure, illuminance ...and finally temperature and humidity (as expected the only one that works), then voltage. It makes for a messy UI that requires scrolling. It does work with my routine.
Will buy again
I use this in a bedroom in our house that has a wider temperature delta than the rest of the upstairs. Not a huge deal in the summer, but it gets freezing in there in winter, so this allows me to read the temperature and adjust space heating with actual data, not vibes. "It's too cold still" doesn't tell me how much more heat is needed haha. Great little device, and super reliable!
super reliable!
