You asked, Zooz answered! One part light dimmer, one part 15A on/off relay, this Double Switch has endless use cases. Make it your go-to Z-Wave solution for existing stacked switches controlling a ceiling fan and lights on the fan. If you have two switches that control a fan and light separately (2 connections coming into the box, 1 for the motor and 1 for the light), use the Double Switch to combine them!
You can also use this device to control two sets of lights with one switch (one dimmable, one on/off), saving space in your box for another application. Or skip on the load for either the dimmer or relay, and use the Double Switch as a remote control for other scenes and devices in your Z-Wave network.
Besides fan control, the 15 A relay in the Double Switch is a dry contact that can be used in a variety of creative applications. Use it to add Z-Wave to an outlet receptacle or load from a different circuit.
The Double Switch supports OTA firmware updates so you’ll be able to take advantage of Zooz’s frequent upgrades and feature additions. And once added to your Z-Wave hub, the Double Switch will immediately start boosting Z-Wave signals to strengthen your connections and extend the range of other devices. It supports the newest S2 authenticated security protocol for secure communication, and its Z-Wave Plus 700 series chip ensures stable connections with your hub.
Please follow the manual carefully and refer to the supplied diagrams when installing your Zooz S2 switches. It's recommended that a licensed electrician performs the installation.
Check for neutral connections BEFORE you buy. A white wire from a 14-3 romex is usually NOT a neutral. Ask us if you're not sure what to look for, we'll be happy to help!
How to include the Z-Wave Plus S2 Double Switch to your smart home hub?
1. Make sure the switch is installed within range of your Z-Wave network
2. Put your Z-Wave hub in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Tap the upper paddle of the dimmer 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process
4. A new dimmer and on/off switch will appear on your controller's device list
NOTE: If you can't match your wiring with any of the diagrams included in the manual, let us know and we'll walk you through the wiring process.
NOTE: If you don't see your Z-Wave controller on the list above, please contact us before you purchase this product.

Zooz light switches are simply fantastic. Their ability to be customized with multiple different scenes/automations is just amazing. I first stumbled upon Zooz when looking for a Zwave switch, as I wanted more local control, but also one less device bogging up my Wifi. This would by my 4th Zooz Zwave Device and I love them all. I cant speak for their longevity, but so far I'm very happy. I think their is really only one other brand that offers ability to disable the Relay on the switch so that you could use these switches with Smart Bulbs, allowing you the best of both worlds, with Awesome RGB smart bulbs, but the classic wall control of a light switch, as long as you properly set it all up.
If I had to complain at all, it might be the feel of the material or paddles themselves, definitely feel sort of "light weight", but they still look fantastic, and the tactile feedback of operating the switch is good enough, especially considering the price of these items, since Zwave is normally more expensive for an equivalent wifi switch. As long as the Zooz devices I currently have continue to be strong, I'll be purchasing several more.
My favorite feature of this switch is the LED indicators, especially the bar of lights for the dimmer decora switch. There are several different configurations that allow you to control how the LEDs turn on, their brightness and their color. I configured mine to show the current dim level when the lights are turned on. The separate relay button has its own LED indicator, which can be used to show if the device wired to it is on or off, which is very useful since it's just a toggle button. Or you can have the LED on when the lights/device is off, so it's easier to locate the switch in the dark!
I have the dimmer connected to smart bulbs that flash when you turn off the dimmer. In home assistant, under the device configuration section, under the entities not shown, I was able to unhide Ramp rate for hub off and Ramp rate for physical off and change the dimmer from 1 second to 0 seconds and now my lights turn off quicker and don't flash.
I ended up using this in my bathroom. I'm able to trigger the exhaust fan via the zooz humidity sensor although it only updates when it wants to. Pressing dimmer off and relay at the same time it's not recognized. So one at a time is needed. I have also noticed I've pressed the button from time to time while leaving the bathroom and it isn't recognized as a button press. This has been the case across zooz toggle switches, but once I automate on motion I will become less of a transient issue.
This is a great switch for bathrooms that originally have a single switch and a single wire running to a light & fan combo unit. I used this switch along with a ZEN52 relay.
I ran un-switched power from the original switch to the ZEN52 which I installed in the light/fan housing so I could control the light and fan separately. I then replaced the wall switch with the ZEN30 which only has power but is not direct wired to anything else.
I added event triggering from the ZEN30 to control the light and fan via ZEN52 relay independent of each other. I even added an auto shutoff event if the light is off and the fan has been left running for longer than 15 minutes.
A note of caution. I recommend setting the minimum dimmer configuration value to 99 for the ZEN30 dimmer light since the ZEN52 is not a dimmer.
Having kids, its inevitable that every light will be left on either all together or individually. These new switches allowed me to create automations quickly and easily that turn off either thru movement or time of day. Such a great purchase and will be getting more to finish off my whole house.
