NOTE: This is NOT a Z-Wave device. You need a compatible Z-Wave dimmer module for wireless control.
This Zooz Momentary Switch is the perfect addition to your Z-Wave dimmer module. Its operation is simple but its potential is great: tap it to turn your Z-Wave dimmer on, press and hold it to adjust brightness, tap it again to turn it off. It is not a Z-Wave device by itself, and should be used with a behind-the-switch Z-Wave module for wireless functionality.
Use it to complete a 4-way or other complex multi-point control set-ups with the Fibaro Dimmer to add Z-Wave to circuits with no neutral. Its slim and compact form factor leaves extra space in your switch box making installation worry-free. The simple decora style will complement most interiors.
Before proceeding with the installation, turn off the power in the switch box. Make sure you have either 12 or 14 AWG copper wire, since this is the only type of wiring that’s approved for this installation. If needed, strip the wiring of its insulation (exposing 0.75” will be enough). Connect all wires to all screw terminals, including the ground wire. Tighten all the screws, and secure your Z-Wave module and the momentary switch in the box using the mounting screws. Be sure to handle the wires carefully. Install the wall plate, and turn the power back on to test the device.

These could not be any easier to wire in. The Zooz support site provides clear and easy to understand instructions on how to get these wired in. The paddle feel is very good for a momentary switch also. What is surprising is that the momentary can also dim which I was unable to do using other smart switches with a momentary switch, so that was a nice little surprise.
I was looking for a cheap momentary switch to make a dumb 2 way switch smart, these switches worked great with my smart relay, no need to pull another wire!
I have a 3 way where the switch I would use 99% of time is the side that did not have the neutral wire, so I had to install the ZEN72 dimmer switch in the remote location and used the default manual switch that could only turn light ON/OFF. The ZAC99 replacement is a simple momentary switch that can turn light ON/OFF and also can dim the light up or down by pressing/holding it. This works exactly like I expected it to.
The only real con is the switch is noisy or squeaky and needs quite a bit of force to get it to "click". Its much stiffer than all other switches I have.
All in all, a great companion switch for Zen22/Zen72 zooz dimmers to allow dimming at both locations when used in a 3 way hookup.
Nice quality - definite click. Works well.
Before you order, realize that this is only a pushbutton momentary switch, not a rocker switch as it's style suggests.
It only switches (and returns - on/off momentary) when the top is pressed, the bottom is a 'dummy' button.
I only point this out because I mistook what its function was, and hope to make it clear for others.
Very disappointed to discover that these only click in on direction. I thought it would rock both ways to keep the same functionality and aesthetic as other Zooz switches. My mistake...
Hi Bob.
