This sensor is perfect for spot monitoring in spaces where your smart thermostat doesn't reach. Install the device in your bedroom to prepare just the right temperature for the night. Mount it in the basement or on your sun porch to trigger climate control device and keep the air constant where humidity and temperature is most likely to change quickly.
Just stick it to the flat surface of your choice with the supplied adhesive tape for 1-minute installation. We recommend using the dedicated mounting bracket if you'd like to install the sensor outdoors. Always keep the device out of direct sunlight and rain or snow.
seems to be a good product. Time will tell how long the battery lasts
I prefer Z-Wave over Zigbee. These are great little devices. Best I have found for Z-Wave
I have a home assistant setup and it was super easy to join these and start getting data.
It’s my first time dealing with battery power zwave device. It’s kind of slow to setup, to get measurements, it took me half a day until new firmware was installed via Home Assistant. I assume this all is because comes online only couple of times a day, while it sends temperature and humidity values at the interval you configure. Default is 120 min.
This was my first humidity sensor. I was reading about humidity sensors and found that there are many. I read zooz is a great brand, highly recommended, and affordable.
Setup was simple following the documentation. I run home assistant in a Docker container and a aeotec z stick 10 pro with zwave container. The sensor paired easily. This works great with the home assistant exhaust fan automation blueprint found on home assistant forum.
Pricing was very affordable, especially during black Friday . Overall, very happy with this humidity sensor.
