Works Well, but Chews Through Batteries

I've had this sensor for around 2 months now -- I am about to put in my second set of replacement batteries. As best as I can tell, I have configured it to have motion sensing disabled and have increased the reporting threshold for temperature and lux. I have this sensor located with 15 feet of my Zwave hub and even so it is eating up batteries.

I would happily give this four or five stars if the ZOOZ was more honest about the battery life or simply did not include a battery option as it seems like the only real way to use this is to run a 12V power source to it -- which I might be forced to do in the future if I want to keep using it.

Good Outdoor Sensor

Used primarily as an outdoor temperature and lux sensor.Works good, but lux not really that accurate. Shows 0 lux when it is still fairly light outside. It is good enough to make sure the outdoor lights are on at night and other low light conditions. For example sensor currently shows that it is about 900 lx while my phone says it is about 1600 lx. I really like that it can be directly wired to low voltage power. I have it attached to my shed. I installed a low voltage transformer and connected the sensor to it. Works great and I don't have to worry about replacing batteries.

It works great

I'm using it for my garage when you walk in the back door and close the door the garage is too dark. So when the sensor senses you walking and when the light is low it will alert home assistant to turn on the light in the garage so you can see.
