    HOW IT WORKS

Make your home Z-Wave capable without complicated and expensive changes to your gear. After installing into your wall switch box and including to your Z-Wave gateway controller, the FIBARO Z-Wave Plus Double Switch transforms 2 independent switches or outlets into Z-Wave devices. It's the perfect solution for a crammed switch box!

You’ll be able to wirelessly control your lights and any connected appliance (up to 6.5 A, no motor loads) from the ease of your smart phone or computer. You’ll also be able to schedule scenes like automatically turning off the lights in the kids’ rooms every night. Have the Double Switch talk to other Z-Wave devices for a customized smart home setup — turn on the welcome lights as soon as your door/window sensor detects you’ve opened the front door.

This Double Switch is compatible with a wide variety of switches, outlets, and bulbs. And depending on your specific gateway controller, it allows you to keep track of the power consumption of one appliance or all of them together, at any given moment and over time.

    This switch solved my problem

I needed a flush relay that would follow the state of the physical light switch. Other flush switches would just change the state. So if the physical light switch was the off position and the flush switch had been turned on by the Z wave network, turning the physical switch on would actually turn the light off. This has an option to follow the state of the physical switch. Tech Support at The Smartest House was instrumental in researching their products and recommending the right one.

Does everything I need it to and high quality

This was my first Fibaro device. I bought the dual relay to replace another brand z-wave relay that had been installed into a motion detector flood light setup. In the original setup, my SmartThings hub could turn on the floodlights or the motion sensor could turn on the flood lights. The problem was that the trigger on the relay would only toggle the output, so if the hub turned on the lights and then the motion sensor triggered, since the lights were already on, the lights would turn off. The manufacturer did not have a way to reconfigure the trigger.

I purchased the FIbaro dual relay to try and resolve this and the Fibaro worked great. It let me configure the trigger to follow the voltage, which means if the hub or manual switched turned on the lights, and then the motion sensor triggered, the lights would stay on. I also have the added bonus of a second relay and trigger which allowed me to isolate the motion sensor and control it from the hub.

I will be trying out the Fibaro dimmer next. It seems that all of their relay/dimmer modules can work with a toggle switch or a momentary switch. along with following the voltage state and not toggling. I think they're are a little pricey, but then again they are highly configurable and seem to be built well.

If you're using SmartThings, use the device handlers written by erocm1231. This will allow you to take proper advantage of the 2nd relay switch.

UL Certified Dual Relay. Works great with SmartThings

Great UL Certified Relay that works with SmartThings

This is one of the only smart relays that is UL certified. Well built and works great with SmartThings hub.

If using SmartThings you will need:

    1) Fibaro 223 Device handler by erocm123:

    2) Simulated Switch SmartApp by erocm123

    Detailed Instructions: https://community.smartthings.com/t/release-virtual-device-sync-create-virtual-devices-and-keep-them-in-sync-with-a-physical-device/57089/34

    Pros:
    1) UL Certified
    2) Well built
    3) Very small so it can be easily hidden behind physical switches
    4) Easy to Setup with erocm123's device handler and smart app
    5) Excellent customer support from TheSmartestHouse who pointed me toward the Fibaro when I was looking for a dual relay switch that was also UL certified.

    Cons:
    1) It would have been nice if it included a few pieces of short electrical wire. Since this is going between existing wiring and switch you will need 4 short wires. One for L, N, S1, S2. Existing switch to light wiring will go to Q1 and Q2.
