Check your wiring first to confirm that you have all the following wires present in your electrical box: power, neutral, and the connection to the detector.
If you are not comfortable identifying the wiring and following the instructions, please hire a licensed electrician.
Here is an example diagram showing how to wire the ZEN55 to a smoke detector:
Took me 10 minutes to fully install and connecting to Home Assistant was easy. It’s nice that I can still keep my old system but make it work with my new setup. Reports have been near instant and have had no issues for the week I’ve had it installed.
I wired this into my existing network of Kidde detectors and it works great to connect them to either my Smartthings or my HA without any issues. This is great!
The Zen55 was simple to install at one of the smoke detectors and was easy to add to Home Assistant. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to integrate standard wired smoke/CO detectors into HA.
The smoke and CO detector bridge works perfectly. I connected it to the last detector and installed it in home assistant. When a wired smoke or CO detector goes off I get a notification from home assistant.
Connected it to my smoke and C0 alarm. Updated firmware and now it's integrated into SmartThings. I will be buying more zooz devices.
