Before installing, make sure the load does not exceed 500W for incandescent lights or 150W for LED's. Check your wiring first to confirm that you have all the following wires present in your gang box: load (most often black), line (most often black), neutral (most often white), and ground (most often green).
Always cover the screws and terminals with electrical tape (or the included covers) - failure to do so will void the warranty. If you are not comfortable identifying the wiring and following the instructions, please hire a licensed electrician.

Here are some helpful wiring tips:
How to include the Dimmer & Scene Controller switch to your smart home network?
1. Bring your Z-Wave hub or controller as close to the switch as possible
2. Put your hub in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Tap the main button 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process
4. A new dimmer and scene controller should appear on your controller's device list
NOTE: Use a dedicated diagram from the manual to wire the switch in a 3-way setting with a regular electrical switch if you are looking to control one light with 2 or 3 switches.
I have been very happy with the ZEN35 so far. I am still mid-conversion from SmartThings to Hubitat, but the implementation of the scene buttons on the ZEN35 switch have been a much needed upgrade. The ability to have a multitude of pre-determined scenes with a single tap (or double-tap or triple-tap) has been games changing. There has been a learning curve with the family, but I think they are all getting used to it. We use scene buttons 1-3 for custom scene settings and button 4 to turn lights off in a single click. A multi-clicks of b4 will shut off more of the house. The switch is not perfect though. My issues are small though. Currently Hubitat drivers support 0, 30, 60, and 100% for the switches LED illumination. I really wish this was variable, because I feel the difference between 30 and 100 in minimal. I would love to have a 5% or 10%, just enough to make it visible in the dark, but not bright enough to generate a significant light source. My final issue is that yes you can set LED color, but I cannot figure out how to change the LED color through my rules or button controller settings, as I would love to use color to communicate more information, but it appears that you can only set the color and illumination through the switch preferences, and then you control if the LED is either on or off with your rules and button controller.
Very functional. Love it.
The Zen35 gives me 4 buttons for scene control options and integrates well with smartthings. I am currently using it to control both z wave and zigbee devices
Haven’t wired it up fully yet but testing it out seems like it will work great for my application. Only niggle is the buttons feel a little squishy. Hopefully will be fine over the long run.
I ordered the Zen35s to control my ceiling fans and the work perfectly! I have the large paddle setup to control the light and the 4 bottom paddles to control the fan power and 3 speeds. I have this setup to sync with my home so no matter how the fan is turned on (voice, phone, automation, or manually) the correct LEDs light up on the switch so I always know the status of my fan.
