Waterproof Case for the Zooz XS Open | Close Sensor

The waterproof case for the ZSE41 is way too tight. You cannot get the sensor out of the case with the provided pick. A sharp knife like an X-ACTO was the only way I could get it out. You cannot remove the sensor cover to replace the battery without removing the sensor from the case. The mounting holes for the case are also inconvenient. You must remove the mounting screws from the case to get to the case back cover for removal, giving access to the sensor. Recommend indoor use for sensor and a redesign for the case!

This works great. I use on an outdoor gate and sensor still connects as it should. Adds a great mounting point as well to use small screws to hold in place.

I’ve been extremely impressed with the Zooz XS Long Range Door Sensor. Setup was quick and straightforward, and it paired with my Z-Wave network without any issues. The Long Range support is a huge advantage, especially for doors and areas farther away from the hub where traditional Z-Wave devices sometimes struggle.

The sensor itself is compact, clean-looking, and easy to mount. Response time is instant, and it has been rock solid with no random disconnects or false alerts. Battery life also seems excellent so far, which is important for a device you don’t want to constantly maintain.

I’m using it with Home Assistant and it works flawlessly. Overall, this is one of the most reliable door sensors I’ve used, and I’ll definitely be buying more for the rest of the house.

These cases are great to keep the elements out of the sensor. It survived two summers in the Arizona heat.

Out of the box, the sensor "just worked". The accessories with it were just right, easy to use. The sensor woke up and joined my zwave network immediately. Couldn't have been any easier.
