Before installing, make sure the load does not exceed 1800W for incandescent lights, 600W for LED's, or 15A for resistive load (read more about supported loads here).
Check your wiring first to confirm that you have all the following wires present in your gang box: load (most often black), line (most often black), neutral (most often white), and ground (most often green).
If you are not comfortable identifying the wiring and following the instructions, please hire a licensed electrician.
Here are some helpful wiring tips:
How to include the Zooz Heavy Duty switch to your smart home network?
1. Bring your Z-Wave gateway hub or controller as close to the switch as possible
2. Put your Z-Wave controller in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Scan the SmartStart QR code on the front metal plate of the switch or tap the upper paddle of the switch 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process manually
4. A new on/off switch should appear on your controller's device list
NOTE: Use a dedicated diagram from the manual to wire the switch in a 3-way setting with a regular electrical switch if you are looking to control one light with 2 or 3 switches.
Put one of these on my bathroom fan and it's working like a charm. Install was easy with the already provided wires. Pair it with a temp/humidity sensor and it's great. Got this because my humidistat switch was incredibly unreliable due to the air behind the box affecting the humidity reading. This works better, looks better, and has more options.
These work similar to Zen71 but much more powerful. Considering the modest cost difference; these will be my go to in cases where I’d usually consider the 71. Overall these are the most reliable z-wave switches I’ve come across. I hope they’ll be offering a similar rocker soon as I’d prefer a traditional switch in my garage as opposed to deco still switches. Fortunately, these were in the house instead of in the shop.
Just got three of these installed to control a ceiling fan and two outlets which control LED lights. I've tried the Zooz relays in the past but didn't quite work out. These switches "just work" as you'd expect. Couldn't be happier.
I've been waiting for these for a while. Now I can connect to a single device (Ceiling Fan) and not worry. Working great so far.
We have a relay in the garage that is a on/off relay, wanted to control it via zwave and the Zen75 did the trick. This was our first purchase of Zooz zwave switches and we plan to purchase more. Thank You!
