Safety should never be an afterthought. VeraSecure is the latest innovation in a long line of reliable, easy-to-use Vera hubs. As the command center of your smart home, it prioritizes your home security with a variety of advanced and localized features. It allows you to create a solid security system that is tailored to your home and needs.
The hub has a backup battery so that Vera will work even during power outages. There’s also an option for cellular backup to keep your smart home running when the Internet goes out. While VeraSecure has no monthly fees or contracts, you can choose to upgrade your account at anytime to the New Vera Central Monitoring Service, which is an in-app purchase offering professional 24/7 security monitoring at a much lower rate than alarm companies & cable-TC systems.
Control and monitor hundreds of devices from Vera’s intuitive UI7 app (compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows operating systems) on your smart phone, tablet, or web browser.
In terms of security, VeraSecure is a big improvement to the Veras that came before. When triggered by any pre-programmed device in the network, VeraSecure will literally sound the high-decibel alarm. You’ll receive a notification via text/email at the same time your neighbors are alerted of an intrusion, flood, fire, or other emergency.
VeraSecure is compatible with thousands of devices across the top brands in home automation, and can control hundreds of devices in a single network. It carries the latest versions of the most popular communication protocols – Z-Wave Plus, ZigBee, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and VeraLink – making compatibility worries a thing of the past. It boasts double the memory of VeraPlus and a lightning-fast Dual-Core processor, ensuring commands are executed quickly. When taking in all the advancements made to this newest controller, VeraSecure is the smartest choice you can make for a safe smart home.
To get started with your VeraSecure, connect the provided Ethernet Cable to your Wi-Fi router. Then, connect the AC power adapter to Vera securely and plug it into an AC outlet. Vera will power up once it’s connected to the AC adapter.
While Vera is still turned on, set up an account and register your Vera by going to http://home.getvera.com. If you don’t have an account already, you can create a free one. Just click on I have a new controller and follow the prompts to get started. If you already have an account with Vera, click on Add another controller and follow the prompts.
