HOW IT WORKS
When it comes to water damage, the WaterCop Leak Prevention system may just be the most reliable, user-approved solution on the market. Built in the US with patented technology, the WaterCop system uses a powerful motor and a durable brass valve to attach to your water main valve and physically shut it off when triggered by a Z-Wave flood sensor.
Monitor all of the flood-prone areas of your house without worrying you’ll come home to a burst pipe or some other costly or dangerous water catastrophe. Just connect the WaterCop system to your Z-Wave hub to get instant notifications and alerts on your smart phone or computer – know if and when the WaterCop is triggered, know where the leak is coming from, and use this knowledge to act fast.
The communicative LED indicator lets you know what’s happening with the system, and its open/close buttons allow for manual valve control at all times. Save water, save time, and save money with the quick installation of the WaterCop system – and be sure to check with your insurer to verify if this device qualifies you for lower rates!
Before installation, read the instructions thoroughly and be sure to follow the setup process exactly as shown in the manual. If you’re unsure about the process at any point, please contact a licensed professional to complete the installation. Please note that this device should only be installed indoors; be sure to avoid exceeding the recommended loads.
You can add the WaterCop to your network through automatic or manual inclusion. Your WaterCop can be included automatically as soon as it’s installed, powered up, and your Z-Wave hub is put in inclusion/pairing mode. The WaterCop should be within range of the hub to ensure proper inclusion.
To include the device manually, put in your Z-Wave into inclusion/pairing mode and press the Program Button on the WaterCop once. Inclusion will be completed and confirmed when the WaterCop appears on your hub’s device list and the Status Light stops flashing.
