Customers with a SmartThings Hub (2013) or a SmartThings Link for NVIDIA® SHIELD™ are eligible for a special offer on the new Aeotec Smart Home Hub, which works as a SmartThings Hub. To redeem this offer, you will need the unique discount code in the email you received from SmartThings on March 1, 2021.

The offer is valid for the Aeotec Smart Home Hub only.

WHAT IS THE AEOTEC SMART HOME HUB?

Aeotec has partnered with SmartThings to add a “Works As a SmartThings Hub” device to their portfolio. This Aeotec Smart Home Hub leverages the same hardware used in the SmartThings Hub (2018), optimized to work seamlessly with all new features of the current SmartThings app and ecosystem. With this new hub, you will be able to continue using the SmartThings app with your current SmartThings account, and re-connect any existing LAN, Z-Wave or Zigbee devices you already have.

    WHEN WILL I GET MY HUB?

    This is a special preorder offer. Your Aeotec Smart Home hub will ship as soon as it is available. We expect the first hubs to start shipping in March 2021. All orders will be shipped on a first-come, first-serve basis. As of April 6, the Aeotec hub is in stock and all orders are shipped within 48 hours. Click here to learn more about our shipping and delivery times.

    After you submit your order, you will see a credit card charge and will receive an order confirmation. Once your order ships, you'll receive another email with a shipment tracking number.

     

    How can I migrate my current setup to the new hub?

    It is not possible to back up your existing smart home setup and restore it on the new hub. You will need to reconnect devices to the new Hub and recreate Scenes or Automations using the SmartThings app. If you need assistance with this transition, feel free to check out this article or contact contact Support@SmartThings.com.
