HOW IT WORKS
This Aeotec WallMote may look as sleek and inconspicuous as a pair of ordinary wall switches, but don’t let looks deceive you: use the WallMote to masterfully control up to 8 unique Z-Wave scenes of your own design. Connect the WallMote to your Z-Wave controller to assign each device or group of devices to a quick action on one of the WallMote’s side-by-side panels: tap, press and hold, swipe up, and swipe down for easy control of your smart home.
Manage all aspects of your smart home and have them work together. Swipe up to initiate your very own bedtime scene: instantly dim the lights, set the thermostat, and close the blinds for a peaceful evening routine. Press and hold the right panel for a soothing “Wintertime Welcome” scene: close the garage door, turn on the downstairs lights along with some music, and turn up the heat. Commands are registered and actions confirmed via communicative RGB LED, beep, and vibration. The WallMote is powered by convenient rechargeable battery along with an optional micro USB cable. Bank-grade AES signal encryption ensures communication is safe and secure, while the latest in Z-Wave Plus technology means faster connectivity and longer range for your WallMote.
To include the WallMote to your Z-Wave network, first put your Z-Wave hub into pairing/inclusion mode (see your hub’s user manual for specifics, as each brand is different). Bring the WallMote within 3 feet of your hub. On the back of the device, press the Action Button once. The LED indicator will blink green. Once successfully included, the LED will light up solid green for 2 seconds and then turn off; you should see the new device on your hub’s device list. If the process was unsuccessful, the LED will light up solid red for 2 seconds and then turn off. If so, please repeat the steps above.
Once included, mount the WallMote in the location of your choice. Be sure it’s within range of your Z-Wave hub. Peel one side of the double-sided tape and attach it to the designated section on the back of the mounting plate. Press it down firmly and evenly to affix the back mounting plate to a wall or any clean, dry, and flat surface.
Once the mounting plate is secured, attach the WallMote to the plate. Attach the device by gently pushing the WallMote onto the plate from the top-left corner. The device will be attracted by the corresponding magnets on the plate and stay put
