HOW IT WORKS
Never has the pay-off been so great for a device so easy to operate. The FIBARO Wall Plug adds to your Z-Wave hub in minutes, but its communicative LED, electrical load possibilities, and advanced configuration options will have you playing with it for hours.
Connect it with a variety of devices for instant remote control – despite its small size, it can control larger appliances and motor loads like fridges and fans (not true for many Z-Wave plugs)!
Monitor the energy consumption of the connected device, and use this info to run a more efficient home. Connect it with other Z-Wave devices for customized rules – for example, turn on a fan instantly as soon as your Z-Wave door/window sensor reads a closed window. Use the intelligent LED ring to stay updated on its status: active energy use, Z-Wave network strength, software updates, and hardware status are all communicated via LED. Take advantage of a variety of advanced configuration options for a more personalized smart home.
The FIBARO Wall Plug features both bank-grade AES-128 encryption, along with the latest S2 security framework (your hub needs to support AES and S2 to take advantage of these features). Once plugged in, the Wall Plug acts as a signal repeater that strengthens Z-Wave signals and boosts connectivity between hub and devices. Its Z-Wave Plus 500 series chip ensures longer range and super-reliable communication.
Set up couldn’t get simpler. Plug the Wall Plug into a receptacle within direct range of your Z-Wave hub. At this point the LED should show red, indicating the plug is not paired with the network. Put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion/pairing mode. Refer to your hub’s manual if you’re not sure how to initiate inclusion/pairing. Next, press the button on top right corner of the Wall Plug 3 times very quickly. Once successfully included, the Wall Plug will appear on your hub’s device list.
