We may have this product available in open box, refurbished, or used condition - just check the variant buttons under the product price for availability. All of our recycled inventory has been tested for both manual and Z-Wave control and is fully functional at the time of shipment. Here is what you can expect when ordering your device:
Way more functionality than a single smart plug with none of the bulkiness of a power strip. We combined your feedback to create the Double Plug: control two devices up to 10A, separately or at the same time, once it’s connected to your Z-Wave system. With its 2-in-1 Fit, plug two Double Plugs into the same receptacle, doubling your receptacles’ capacity and adding all the benefits of Z-Wave automation.
In your Z-Wave system’s dedicated app, monitor and manage the two connected devices. Add them to your custom schedules and rules for seamless control of your lights and small appliances. With the built-in energy monitors, use this info to see how you can make your home more efficient and cut down on energy bills every month (just make sure your Z-Wave hub supports energy monitoring!).
The USB port in the center of the Double Plug will notify you when your headphones or tablet are fully charged (they send on/off reports which can be turned into custom notifications if your hub supports this feature). The smart LED indicators on the ends of the device display power use along with Z-Wave signal strength in the range test mode. The Double Plug includes built-in overload protection and the latest S2 security protocol to make sure your hardware and software are covered.
Set-up couldn’t be simpler. For auto-inclusion, all you need to do is put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion (pairing) mode and power the Double Plug by inserting it into a grounded 120 VAC receptacle. It doesn’t need to be within direct range of your hub: including it from the installation location can help make sure the hub finds the best route to the device. When successfully included, the Double Plug’s LED indicators will go from flashing to solid blue or green and it will appear on your hub’s device list.
To manually include the device, plug it in and put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion mode. Then press the Z-Wave button 3 times quickly. The LED indicators will start flashing and it will appear in your hub’s app, indicating successful inclusion.
Whether you include it automatically or manually, you’ll see 4 new on/off devices in your app:
2 channels for on/off control
1 channel for on/off monitoring (the USB port reporting charging / charged status, no control)
1 master node to control both outlets at the same time and to access and adjust advanced settings in (if your hub supports parameter input)
NOTE: If you don't see your Z-Wave controller on the list above, please contact us before you purchase this product.
