HOW IT WORKS
This Aeotec Nano Switch is as tiny as it is feature-packed. Save loads of time, hassle, and money by installing it behind one of your existing wall switches. Completely hidden from sight, you’ll enjoy remote monitoring and on/off control of the connected load from your smart phone, tablet, or computer (once it’s paired with your Z-Wave controller, of course!).
Unlike the Nano Switch ZW139, this device offers remote energy monitoring in live mode and over time – see exactly how much power the connected load is drawing to make smarter, more cost-effective decisions about your home’s energy usage. Create custom lighting schedules for routine on/off control, and never leave the house with the lights on again. Command a Z-Wave contact sensor to trigger the basement lights on as soon as you open the door – not only for safety and convenience, but to ensure you’re using energy only when you need it.
This Nano Switch remembers and recovers its last status after a power outage. It supports Over The Air (OTA) firmware upgrades, ensuring your Switch updates easily and remains secure. And its super small size means it’ll have no issue making a home in even the most crowded gang box.

Before anything, shut off the main circuit breaker to ensure safety during the installation; be sure no voltage remains in the wires.
Follow the provided diagrams exactly; do not exceed the recommended loads as this can cause personal injury and/or equipment damage.

Once the Nano Switch has been installed and manual control has been established, add the device to your Z-Wave network.
You’ll need to add the Nano Switch to your Z-Wave network to take full advantage of its features and control the device remotely. You may add the Switch as a secure or non-secure device: if secure, the device uses encrypted messages to communicate within your Z-Wave network (your Z-Wave hub needs to support this feature).
To include the Nano Switch as a secure device, put your Z-Wave controller into pairing/inclusion mode. Locate the Action Button on the front of the Switch; press it 2 times within 1 second. The LED indicator will blink blue, confirming the Switch has entered secure inclusion mode. Once the device is successfully added, the LED will light up solid. If inclusion was unsuccessful, the LED will light up red for 2 seconds – repeat the steps above to include the device.
To include the Nano Switch as a non-secure device, put your Z-Wave controller into pairing inclusion mode. Press the Action Button once. The LED should light up green for 2 seconds if inclusion was successful. If unsuccessful, the LED will light up red for 2 seconds. Please repeat the steps above to include the device.
